Our Team

We are a social-impact, government-recognized startup offering IT and affiliated services for global clients while creating technology-enabled livelihoods in Goan villages. We ourselves are located at the Chorao island in Goa (India).

We are a tightly integrated team backed by our founders’ and extended leadership team’s 60+ years of experience in the global IT and other industries committed to delivering excellence on the latest technologies for an exceptional quality-to-cost value proposition.

Uzoorba is a fusion of 2 Konkani (our mother-tongue) words: uzo = fire, and, urba = enthusiasm/positivity. We are proud that our team reflects this essence and is deeply rooted in Goan ethos and value-centric professionalism.

The Inception!

Authoring his father’s memoirs for his first death anniversary planted the seed of “Village IT” into Vincent’s mind.
2012
”September

Pursuing Corporates, State Government

Since 2010 Indian IT majors, personalities and Goa government were pursued to give Village IT a shot … but to no avail.

The Spark!

Joi Barua’s soulful live rendition of his Assamese song, Tejimola, sparked Uzoorba to life as a Konkani rock music project!

The Leap of Faith!

A string of visibly unrelated events had Vincent quitting his Infosys job to pursue his road back home to Goa.

5 Seasons of Project GEIT Vacation Camps

Diwali2016 onwards, organized 5 vacation camps bringing latest technology exposure for 500+ school kids across Goa supported by dozens of volunteers.

Village IT = A Reality!

After 6 months of hard toil, Uzoorba Development Center at Chorao began operations with 3 Software Developers.
