Brizz Hyper-local Pharmacy

Brizz Medical Hyper-local Pharmacy web apps are designed to serve as aggregators of demand for medical and related supplies anywhere in India directly connected to supply possibilities for the same from medical stores in the demands’ vicinity. This platform was conceptualized as an unique counter to the onslaught of the online pharmacies to protect interests of the local brick & mortar stores.

Any medical store can come onboard the Brizz platform after a quick registration and start attending to demand requirements of local consumers while receiving online payments for confirmed orders. Stores can manage their active store users, store profile, store work schedule as well as transient availability using the store web app. Store can also maintain a list of its regular (also blocked) customers and invite them to place their orders via the Brizz platform.

Consumers can sign up/in using Google, Facebook (now deprecated), OTP or the traditional manual user ID and password. They can submit their requirements as either Prescription or Product photographs from their desktops, tablets or smartphones besides searching and adding products by name from a database of over 21,000 SKUs. Any mix of such consumer requirements may be added to the cart which then can be sent to the nearby and/or favorite pharmacy (in-built capability to actually send it to multiple stores of consumer’s choice) along with an indication of Home Delivery or In-Store Pickup.

The complete consumer-store interaction can be managed within the app via its Group Chat feature besides live availability updates received by consumer as the store reponds to his/her requirements. Based on store’s response with pricing details the consumer can make online payment and place the order. User can track the order’s progress and receives notifications at certain key milestones till its delivery. Consumers can maintain his/her multiple locations and favorite (also blocked) stores.

We have been involved with this platform right from its conceptualization with our thought leadership and innovative design ideas shaping the core functionality and most unique features of this platform. Additionally, our role on this project has involved the following:

  1. Consulting on business and functional ideas, and their translation into high-level functional designs while also ensuring technical feasibility of the same.
  2. Fully responsive UX Designs for the complete core functionality of the platform.
  3. Detailed technical design, development, testing and deployment of the Progressive Web Apps (PWA) on AWS.
  4. Automated load and regression testing to ensure high system performance, stability and scalability.
  5. Legacy Data clean-up and standardization using complex data pattern recognition and mapping programs.
  6. Secured Payment Gateway implementation and integration.
  7. Project Management with Agile approach.
  8. Month-long pilot run of the platform to organize medical supplies from city pharmacies for our island-village (Chorao, Goa) in March-April’2020 during the COVID19 lockdowns generating 100+ orders amounting to nearly INR50,000 business.
